B2B SaaS · Event marketing

8 booth QRs. 1,184 scans. Every scan piped into the RelayPoint CRM in under 30 seconds.

A B2B SaaS company needed a way to capture leads at a 3-day trade show without printing rebatch badges. Their agency wired SealedQR into their HubSpot via signed webhooks.

The problem

RelayPoint planned an 8-booth presence at RetailCon — main booth plus seven satellite panels covering vertical-specific demos. Their previous event tooling used printed badges with scannable IDs that mapped to a CSV-by-end-of-day import. By the time the leads landed in HubSpot, the prospect had moved on.

Booth & Badge had 48 hours to wire something better. They needed real-time CRM ingest, no on-site IT, and a chain of custody auditors could read after the event.

The workflow

  1. Generate 8 unique QRs

POST /api/qrs/bulk with 8 rows — one per booth. Each code redirected to a per-booth landing page that captured email plus what-brought-you-here.

  2. Subscribe webhook

POST /account/webhooks with qr.scanned event. Endpoint pointed at a Zapier hook that wrote to HubSpot.

  3. Print + place

PNG codes embedded in 8 standees and the main booth backdrop. Set up in 90 minutes on day one.

  4. Scan → webhook → CRM

Every scan fired qr.scanned with the booth identifier in the token title. HubSpot timeline showed the prospect within 30 seconds.

  5. Post-event audit

GET /account/audit.csv produced a 4,800-row audit log Booth & Badge attached to the client deliverable.

Why it mattered

RelayPoint closed three opportunities the first week after the show that they directly attribute to the speed of the post-scan follow-up. Their old approach would have routed those leads through a Monday-morning import; the SDR team called them Wednesday afternoon while they were still in the hotel.

Booth & Badge productized the event-QR offering as a fixed-fee per-event service line. Two more clients booked it for Q2.
